Dear Chocoholics,

Happy Cyber Monday!

I came out of a ten month hibernation last Friday (Black Friday) and was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from so many of our old 'Chocoley Family'. Thank you all for such an abundance of joy and warm response to my email. (If you missed it, I've included it directly below this email).

I'm back with you today to share the other chocolate business, the one on the West Coast... the one I haven't 'spilled the beans' with you yet.

But first, I need to clarify a couple of questions that arose from last week's email.

1.) At this point, Vermont Nut Free Chocolates is working with our former Belgian chocolate manufacturer to produce two of Chocoley's top selling products, which we formerly called, Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Coating Gourmet Compound Chocolate in both dark and milk.

Vermont Nut Free Chocolates calls them:

Gourmet Dark Confectioner Discs
(https://store.vermontnutfree.com/Gourmet-Dark-Confectioner-Discs/productinfo/6-1011/) and
Gourmet Milk Confectioner Discs
(https://store.vermontnutfree.com/Gourmet-Milk-Confectioner-Discs/productinfo/6-1010/)

2.) Bada Bing Bada Boom Candy & Molding Formula (the thicker sister product to the BBBB Dipping & Coating formula) is currently not being manufactured, but you can use Vermont Nut Free's Gourmet Dark Confectioner Discs or Gourmet Milk Confectioner Discs as a replacement, it's just thinner in a melted state but should work beautifully for your molded or other candy making endeavors.

3.) Right now, we don't have a suggested replacement product for our Just Melt It! Fountain & Fondue Chocolate, but again, Vermont Nut Free's Gourmet Dark & Milk Confectioner Discs will work, it's just a smidge too thick and you'll probably need to a very small amount of non-tasting vegetable oil or cocoa butter (maybe a tablespoon or so per pound of chocolate). The goal is just to make it thin enough to flow through the fountain.

4.) Wholesale/Quantity Discounts are being offered by Vermont Nut Free Chocolates. Information regarding quantity or wholesale pricing is found on the product pages for the Gourmet Confectioner Discs. For further information, please call or email Vermont Nut Free Chocolates (www.vermontnutfree.com)

5.) Quite a few people were very kind and concerned about me getting a commission on orders placed with Vermont Nut Free Chocolates. Just place your order with them, you don't need to use a special link or know the secret handshake or anything (plus, we can't shake hands anymore with the Pandemic anyway and it's hard to do an elbow bump on your laptop or smartphone).

6.) Some folks sent messages saying they'd wait for the West Coast supplier before they order. And that's good and fine and all, but this West Coast supplier doesn't offer chocolate identical to Chocoley products, but rather their own line of both couverture and compound chocolate products. I introduced Vermont Nut Free Chocolates first, because they are the one place I know you can get the same identical products as Chocoley's old Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Coating Gourmet Compound Chocolate.

Okay, before I drown in a sea of details, it's time to unveil the West Coast chocolate supplier... worthy chocoholic
, I'd like to introduce you to Santa Barbara Chocolate.
(
https://www.santabarbarachocolate.com/?utm_source=sando&utm_campaign=sando-p8 )

Santa Barbara Chocolate is not a carbon copy of Chocoley, not even close. They have a completely different line of chocolate products, all super high quality and they are dedicated to providing you with exemplary customer service.

The folks at Santa Barbara Chocolate are really good people, that will treat you well and their extensive product offering of both fine couverture and compound chocolate products is second to none.

I hate to admit it, but, Santa Barbara Chocolate's product line is way more diverse and extensive than anything we ever did at Chocoley. They have a very nice line of Brazilian Style Compound Chocolate in Dark, Milk and White that,  like the Bada Bing Bada Boom products is Hydrogenated Oil Free and is very tasty. Additionally, they offer very nice couvertures, ruby chocolate, vegan chocolate and cocoa powders.

Please check with Santa Barbara Chocolate regarding any allergy concerns you may have.

Please use the following link when visiting Santa Barbara Chocolate, so I receive my commission:

Or simply copy and paste this into your browser's address bar:
https://www.santabarbarachocolate.com/?utm_source=sando&utm_campaign=sando-p8

I'll notify you soon regarding any discounts or special offers either of our replacement suppliers have available.

Until then, be sure to run over to www.vermontnutfree.com
or
https://www.santabarbarachocolate.com/?utm_source=sando&utm_campaign=sando-p8 for all of your chocolate needs.

Warmest Regards,

P.S. Remember, if you missed the email on Friday, just keep reading,
it's right below...

Dear Chocoholic,

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!

It has been almost ten months since we locked the door for the last time at Chocoley and none of us had any inkling of what was about to unfold or how our lives were about to change.

I pray that you, your family and friends have stayed well and that life has been good to you, all things considered.

I’m sorry I haven’t been in contact until now to assist you in locating a chocolate supplier that lives up to my crazy high standards. As a lifelong chocoholic and as the former Chief Taster for more than fifteen years at Chocoley,  we both know that quality and consistency are vitally important to us.

Plus, I believe I have a moral obligation to you… I didn’t want to lead you down the path to inferior products or poor service. I was really having a tough time finding ‘just the right supplier’ to meet your needs. As the old saying goes, “if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all”. So, I didn’t.

Well, I finally have some good news on several fronts including having located a couple of suppliers that live up to those high standards we set at Chocoley and I’ll get to that in a second. But first, I want to thank you for your patience. I also want to thank those that showed their love and support and said prayers for my family when my wife Traci had to go through a barrage of Chemotherapy treatments and other medical procedures. I am happy to report that Traci is getting stronger daily and her cancer is in remission.

Now, I’d like to introduce you to two companies, one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast, both shipping to locations throughout the U.S and Canada. I believe they both have the products and outstanding service to take quite good care of you.

In full transparency, during the entire Pandemic, I have been unable to work as I have been a full time caretaker for my wife and I want you to know that should you satisfy your ‘chocolate craving’ from either of these companies in the form of a purchase… I will receive a commission, but I have no ownership or decision-making powers at either business. But, have no fear… the owners of both of these businesses are terrific people that I know will take wonderful care of you…and as you’ll see, both have a vast array of different products, so both businesses may interest you.

Today, the East Coast supplier (stay tuned for the West Coast supplier soon).

Bada Bing Bada Boom fans have reason to celebrate!!! I think I have pulled off a coup. I have gotten the largest player in the nut-free chocolate space to work with Chocoley’s former Belgian Chocolate Manufacturer to produce the same hydrogenated oil free chocolate products you knew as, “Chocoley Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Coating Dark” and “Chocoley Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Coating Milk” Gourmet Compound Chocolate. The big stickler was finding a business that could re-package these products in an FDA compliant facility that was also a Nut-Free facility, like at Chocoley. Success!

Trumpets please: Dun Didi Da… Vermont Nut Free Chocolates (VermontNutFree.com) to the rescue. Large enough to support the type of volume and demand Chocoley customers had for the Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Coating products, Vermont Nut Free Chocolates has stepped up, made an investment in making these awesome products available to you while still maintaining the peanut free and tree-nut free status. I guess you’ll just have to get used to an easier product name than Bada Bing Bada Boom…
Gourmet Dark Confectioner Discs
(https://store.vermontnutfree.com/Gourmet-Dark-Confectioner-Discs/productinfo/6-1011/)

Gourmet Milk Confectioner Discs
(https://store.vermontnutfree.com/Gourmet-Milk-Confectioner-Discs/productinfo/6-1010/)

Now, if you’re asking, ‘what about the Bada Bing Bada Boom Candy & Molding Formula’? I must say, “Patience Grasshopper!” All things in good time. Until then, simply use the Gourmet Dark and Milk Confectioner Discs as a replacement. Sure it’s a bit thinner, but it will work beautifully for barks and molded items and most chocolate creations while both of these products are created with the same flavor profile as the old BBBB Candy & Molding Formula.

A quick note about VermontNutFree.com … should you visit their site without the links provided above, these products are in their "Baking" category or their “Baking Products & Hot Cocoa” section. Don’t get confused by their “Melts” or “Special Melts”… those dark and milk compound chocolate products, while nut free, contain hydrogenated oils and the greater the support customers show for the hydrogenated oil free & nut free Gourmet Dark Confectioner Discs and the Gourmet Milk Confectioner Discs, the sooner those obsolete and less healthy products will go by the wayside.

So, to sum up, please support VermontNutFree.com and purchase the
Gourmet Dark Confectioner Discs (https://store.vermontnutfree.com/Gourmet-Dark-Confectioner-Discs/productinfo/6-1011/), the same exact product as Chocoley’s Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Coating Dark Gourmet Compound Chocolate!
Gourmet Milk Confectioner Discs (https://store.vermontnutfree.com/Gourmet-Milk-Confectioner-Discs/productinfo/6-1010/), the same exact product as Chocoley’s Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Coating Milk Gourmet Compound Chocolate!

Thanks again for your support and patience!

Warmest Regards,

Steve
